Sherin Abbas, from the Relations Office of the Democratic Green Party, spoke to ANHA agency about the national unity of the Kurdish people.

Sherin Abbas explained the necessity of unifying the position of the Kurdish people and political parties at this stage and strengthening efforts to achieve unity. She pointed out that the Kurds are entering a new century that requires a renewed struggle to ensure their presence on the future map and safeguard their rights.

Sherin indicated the Kurds' need for knowledge and political action at this stage, stressing the necessity of organizing their ranks and taking political steps appropriate to the current situation, while unifying the positions of the parties and building a Kurdish leadership.

She called for overcoming differences, warning of dangers threatening the Kurdish existence, and emphasizing the necessity of holding a national conference. Sherin Abbas added that women have a pivotal role in strengthening Kurdish unity, protecting social cohesion, and preserving the gains of the Rojava Revolution, emphasizing that the unity of the Kurdish people will originate from and be built by women.

She pointed to women's ability to effect change and lead the unity project, noting that Kurdish women have established their political presence and organized themselves, and can lead the National Congress. She also stressed the need to ensure women's rights are enshrined in the Syrian constitution.

Abbas concluded by calling for a conference specifically for Kurdish women in all parts of Kurdistan, emphasizing the necessity of keeping the demand for unity at the forefront of priorities. She stressed that the Kurdish people should not remain passive in the face of crises, but rather strengthen their unity, as their cause cannot be resolved without it, believing that women will lead this path.
