K.Star on its 19th anniversary: We will continue our struggle until achieving our goals

 On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the founding of Kongra Star, which falls on (January 15) of each year, the Kongra Star Council issued a written statement to public opinion, and ANHA's Agency received a copy of it.

The statement said: “In the spirit of the great women of our revolution, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Saylemez, Avin Goî, Leyla Agri, Shilan Baqi, Arin Mirkan, and Zahra Barkal, and in the name of the Kongra Star Council, we congratulate all our people and all the struggling and sacrificing women in NE Syria and Syria on the 19th anniversary.”

Kongra Star which was founded in 2005 under the name (Star Union) had a major role in the revolution and represented women who made great sacrifices and achieved victories and gains during attacks, of Turkish occupations and  ISIS against  all components (Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians, Assyrians, Yazidis, Circassians and Chechens).”

It stressed that Kongra Star has become a role model for all components of NE  Syria region in organizing themselves, especially women within political parties, women's organizations, and civil society organizations.

The statement added, "Women will have the leading role in implementing the articles of the contract and consolidating it within the councils, communes, and provinces."

Kongra Star indicated in its statement that the women are still exposed to violence and injustice by some who cling to the masculine mentality and the Turkish occupation.

The statement also stated, "The prominent role of the Kongra Star in training and educating our people and women and following the approach of the revolutionary people's war will become the guarantee for protecting the gains of our revolution."

It said that the struggle and resistance of “our people and the women’s movements and rallying around the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan by raising the level of activities to convey the voice of freedom to all parts of the world is evidence and proof of the union of the thought of the leader and the people that will break down the doors of Imrali prison, to live with the leader freely in a free, integrated society that will prevail Justice and equality.”

Kongra Star recalled its struggle over the course of 19 years, and said: “It was a powerful experience for the women of the region to return that became a source of inspiration for the women’s revolution, life, and freedom.” In Rojhalat Kurdistan and Iran, and for women in Şengal as well.”

Kongra Star renewed its emphasis on continuing its struggle with the philosophy of “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” and the slogan “In the spirit of the martyrs of the stage, and called on all women to rally around leader ideas to guarantee the gains of the women’s revolution.
