K. Star receives delegation from Latin America

Kongra Star received a delegation from Latin America with the aim of learning about the experience of women's organizations in North and East Syria and the mechanisms by which women protect themselves and their communities.

As part of Kongra Star’s invitation to international delegations, a delegation from Latin America, specifically from Mexico and Argentina, visited the Kongra Star center in Qamishlo to closely observe the women’s and community experience in North and East Syria.

This visit represents the delegation’s support for the July 19th Revolution (2012), known as the Women’s Revolution.

The delegation expressed their solidarity with this unique experience and came to witness the reality firsthand, aiming to transfer these experiences to their own countries. The members of the delegation work in their respective countries on establishing institutions concerned with women’s rights and issues. Their primary goal was to understand how women in this region organize themselves and protect both themselves and their communities, as an inspiring step that could contribute to the development of their own societies.

The visit also included discussions about the 2018 attack on Afrin by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries, in addition to the situation of the region before its liberation from ISIS mercenaries and the suffering of its people under their control.
