K. Star: Committed to Jin, Jiyan, Azadî' philosophy
On the occasion of the second anniversary of the "Women, Life, Freedom" uprising, the Kongra Star Council issued a statement saying: "Let the whole world hear that we will not back down from the philosophy of 'Women, Life, Freedom,' and we will make the 21st century the century of women's freedom, from the perspective of the architect of freedom."
The K. Star Council issued a written statement on the second anniversary of the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Women, Life, Freedom) uprising, which began in E. Kurdistan and Iran, and resonated worldwide after the killing of the Kurdish young woman, Jina Amini.
The council commemorated the struggle and uprising of Jina Amini, which was described as the "Revolution of Braids" and gained global recognition under the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom." This slogan has since become a symbol of women's struggle everywhere, denouncing patriarchal thinking.
The statement emphasized that the philosophy of "Women, Life, Freedom," initiated by leader Abdullah Ocalan, has become the rallying cry and voice of all revolutionary women since Jina Amini's death, representing the essence, spirit, and harmony of the global women's liberation struggle and resistance.
The statement highlighted that, on the second anniversary of the "Revolution of Braids," the Iranian authorities continue their brutal attacks, adding: "Many mothers, children, and women still suffer, as the patriarchal, gender-biased mentality continues to practice violence against women, torturing dozens and sentencing them to death in prisons for protesting against this mindset."
The statement pointed out that Iranian authorities have sentenced many women, such as Bakhshan Azizi, to death because they exposed the truth about their policies through free journalism.
The statement continued, stating that, in the face of these practices, women who resist and seek freedom continue their struggle, as recently seen in India, where women united around the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom", “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” and became one voice.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that women in NE Syria Revolution are building a model of a democratic and ecological society based on women's freedom, with their defensive strength as the Women's Protection Units. The Women’s Freedom Council, representing all oppressed women, has become a beacon of hope for a free life, and the voice and color of the women’s revolution. Through organizing women, the Neolithic Revolution (natural society) will be revived in Mesopotamia. "Let the whole world know that we will not back down from the philosophy of 'Women, Life, Freedom,' and we will make the 21st century the century of women's freedom, according to the perspective of the architect of freedom.”
