Based on an agreement signed between the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhood Council and representatives of the Damascus authorities, work has begun on installing joint checkpoints for the Internal Security Forces and the General Security around the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods.

Engineering vehicles removed barriers from the Awaridh and Al-Sika roads between the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and the rest of Aleppo's neighborhoods. This was done following coordination between the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhood Councils and representatives of the Damascus authorities to implement the fifth clause of the agreement signed between them, which stipulates the removal of barriers and the opening of roads.
