Jazira components celebrate PKK's founding anniversary

On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (National Resistance Day), 4 celebrations were organized in the cities of Tirbê Spiyê, Amuda, Jel Agha and Tel Hamis, in the Jazira region.

Tirbê Spiyê

Hundreds of residents of Tirbê Spiyê city in Jazira region, with its diverse components; Kurds, Arabs, and Syriacs, participated in an artistic celebration held at the Roj Hall in the eastern part of the city, in commemoration of the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) (National Resistance Day), where the attendees wore traditional and folkloric costumes reflecting the region's diversity.

The celebration began with holding a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Suleiman Hussein, the member of Tirbê Spiyê City Council, delivered a speech emphasizing the pivotal role the PKK has played since its inception in defending the Kurdish cause and promoting co-existence among the region's various communities.

Hussein noted that attempts by the Turkish occupation state, along with other colonial powers, to undermine the PKK's role have failed thanks to the people's commitment to their cause and their support for the party's struggle under the leadership of Abdullah Ocalan.

The event featured a variety of artistic performances. The Sardam Ensemble from Hasaka presented folkloric songs, while participants formed circles to perform traditional dances.

The Arab artist Talib al-Nasser also presented a collection of Arabic and traditional songs, before the Kurdish poet Ferhad Mardi concluded the ceremony by reciting a number of his poems.

Amuda

In this context, the residents of the city of Amuda and its surrounding villages, along with representatives of civil society organizations, displaced people from Afrin, families of martyrs, and members of the military, commemorated the anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) (National Resistance Day) at the Karam Hall in the western part of the city.

The celebration witnessed a remarkable turnout of various age groups, including children, young people, and old people.

The event began with holding a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Amin Abdel Salam, a patriot who had previously met with leader Abdullah Ocalan, delivered a speech recalling moments from those meetings, describing the leader as a philosopher due to his intellectual and political vision.

The program included song performances by the Martyr Tolhildan Band and the Martyr Dalila Band, as well as by the artists Lawin Youssef and Ebo Jan.

The hall also witnessed traditional folk dances (dabke) in which the attendees participated, chanting slogans commemorating the party's founding and affirming their support for the Guerrilla Forces.

Jel Agha

The Culture and Art Movement in the city of Jel Agha organized a celebration in the city's garage, where pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the party's flags were hung, along with a banner bearing the slogan, "Happy Rebirth Day to the Peoples of Kurdistan."

The celebration was attended by a large number of people from various communities in Jel Agha, as well as members of civil and service institutions, representatives of political parties, and members of the city's military forces.

The event began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a speech delivered by Faisal Hassen, the co-chair of the Jel Agha City Council, who stated that "the emergence of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) marked a new birth for peoples who were living under the yoke of genocide, foremost among them the Kurdish people, who were threatened with extinction before the party saved them with many other peoples around the world."

He added that the party's transition from "the stage of revival to the stage of peace and a democratic society, at the invitation of leader Abdullah Ocalan, marks a new beginning for the destiny of peoples in attaining their rights within a communal society governed by justice and equality," emphasizing their commitment to continuing to support this stage until its goals are achieved.

After the speeches, the celebration was filled with joy, as the Serhildan Ensemble from the Culture and Art Center in Rumeilan performed a selection of revolutionary and folk songs, with the participation of artists Wael Jajo and Mohamed al-Awaid, while the attendees formed circles for traditional Dabkeh dances, adding a festive touch to the occasion.

Tel Hamis

The Tel Hamis District Council organized a celebration in the Cultural Center in the eastern part of the city, attended by residents and representatives from civil and military institutions and political parties.

The event began with holding a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Saleh al-Khalaf, the co-chair of the Society Protection Units, delivered a speech commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Freedom Movement, emphasizing that the gathering expressed "full support for and pride in the Freedom Movement's path."

Al-Khalaf added that the Movement's project represents "a democratic project that establishes a future characterized by justice and equality for all members of society."

After the speech, a video presentation was shown, covering the Movement's origins and the message of leader Abdullah Ocalan, while the participants raised the flags of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and pictures of Abdullah Ocalan.

The celebration witnessed an atmosphere of joy and festivity, with attendees participating in traditional dances to revolutionary songs, and chanting slogans commemorating the party's founding.

The event concluded with collective chants affirming loyalty to the Kurdistan Workers' Party and saluting leader Abdullah Ocalan.
