Israeli strikes kill and injure 407 in Iran

The Iranian news agency Fars reported today that 78 Iranians were killed and 329 others were injured in Israeli strikes targeting various locations across Iran.

In the early hours of the day, Israel launched a large-scale aerial assault on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities and military sites, including the Natanz facility and headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tehran and Isfahan.

 The attacks resulted in the deaths of high-ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists, including:

 Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander of the IRGC

 Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces

 Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, the Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters

 Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force

 Taher Pour, the Commander of the IRGC Air Force Drone Unit

 Davoud Sheikhiān, the Commander of the IRGC Air Force Command

 Major General Mehdi Rabbani, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations in the Iranian Army (killed along with his wife and children)

 Prominent nuclear scientists among the dead:

 Professor of Nuclear Engineering Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari

 Nuclear scientist Mehdi Tehranji

 Nuclear scientist Fereydoun Abbasi

 Nuclear scientist Abdul Hamid Minoushehr

 Nuclear scientist Amir Hossein Faghihi

 Nuclear scientist Motlabizadeh

 In addition, Ali Shamkhani, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, was injured.
