Israeli movements in Quneitra coincide with UNDOF presence

Israeli forces advanced near the Mantera Dam in Quneitra as a UNDOF force was present in the area, and set up an earthen barrier that blocked the road between Samadaniyah and Khan Arnabeh.

Israeli forces advanced today into the area around the Mantera Dam in the northwestern Quneitra countryside, near the village of Western Samadaniyah, coinciding with the presence of members of the UNDOF, near the area.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), no clashes or security incidents were reported during the incursion, while UNDOF forces inspected the damage caused by the Israeli movement in Western Samadaniyah.

In a related development, Israeli forces erected a temporary earthen barrier that blocked the road between Eastern Samadaniyah and the town of Khan Arnabeh, while a bulldozer, a tank and more than 50 personnel were deployed in the area, disrupting movement in the region.

The SOHR had previously monitored an incursion by an Israeli patrol into Western Samadaniyah. The patrol included two tanks, two bulldozers and other military vehicles, and carried out earthmoving operations on agricultural land.
