Mohammed Hajo, a member of the Serekaniye IDPs Committee, announced today that the compensation allocated to families included in the return convoys has been increased to $2,000 per family, up from $1,000.

The decision came following a protest organized by displaced people from Serekaniye today in front of the Hassakeh Governorate building, calling for improved support for families and the provision of suitable conditions for their return.

The move comes as part of ongoing arrangements for the return of displaced people to their areas, amid continued demands to provide basic necessities and ensure suitable and safe conditions for returning families.
