According to Israeli media outlets, Hezbollah fired more than 850 rockets toward Israeli territory during the first ten days of the war, amid assessments that the group is attempting to impose a new field equation along the border.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Northern Command of the Israeli army believes the intensified rocket fire is intended to pressure Israeli residents and push them to evacuate frontline settlements near the Lebanese border, which could change the security situation in the region.

In a related context, the Israeli army announced that it continues its military operations inside southern Lebanon, working to locate and destroy rocket launch sites, in addition to targeting Hezbollah members responsible for the launches. It also indicated that ground incursions are ongoing, describing them as “defensive” operations aimed at reducing the group’s ability to carry out attacks.

According to Israeli military estimates, Hezbollah is focusing its attacks on two main objectives: targeting Israeli forces operating inside Lebanese territory, and maintaining continuous pressure on settlers in northern Israel to force them to leave border areas.

At the same time, the Lebanese capital Beirut witnessed new escalation after an Israeli airstrike early this morning targeted a residential apartment in the Aisha Bakkar area. Israeli media reports suggested the site might be linked to the Islamic Group (al-Jamaa al-Islamiyya).

The Islamic Group said in a statement that it denies that any of its offices or members were targeted in the strike, calling on media outlets to verify information before publishing, while also condemning the repeated Israeli strikes on Lebanese territory.
