Israeli incursions continue in Quneitra countryside

The southern countryside of Quneitra witnessed a new escalation in the pace of Israeli movements inside Syrian territory, as Israeli forces carried out four consecutive incursions within hours. The operations were accompanied by the establishment of field checkpoints and thorough inspections of civilians in several areas along the border strip.

According to activists cited by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an Israeli force consisting of several military vehicles advanced toward the Al-Fityan Farm area, where it set up a temporary checkpoint on the road linking the town of Al-Asbah and Al-Fityan Farm. Civilians were stopped and searched carefully, causing tension and concern among residents.

In a related development, another Israeli patrol made up of three military vehicles established a surprise checkpoint on the road between the villages of Kudna and Bariqa in the southern Quneitra countryside. Passersby were stopped and searched amid military mobilization and movements in the area, before the patrol later withdrew without reports of arrests or detentions.

The escalation comes amid ongoing military activity in the southern border regions, as Israeli incursions into the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa have noticeably increased and are now occurring almost daily.
