Three people injured in Homs clashes

Three people were injured in clashes that erupted between the Al-Mashahda and Al-Anajra tribes in the village of Al-Fayziyah in the western countryside of Homs.

ANHA correspondent in Homs reported that three people were injured in an initial toll after armed clashes broke out on Saturday evening between the Al-Mashahda and Al-Anajra tribes in Al-Fayziyah village, in western Homs countryside, due to a revenge-related dispute between the two sides.

The correspondent added that the area witnessed heavy exchanges of gunfire for some time before security forces intervened to stop the clashes and prevent them from spreading to nearby areas. Tensions, however, remain high despite the cessation of gunfire.

The incident comes weeks after similar confrontations took place in the Tal Al-Shour area on April 6, stemming from family disputes between parties from the villages of Al-Fayziyah and Al-Mashahda.

Concerns are growing over worsening security instability in Homs province, especially in the western countryside, amid public calls for stricter security measures, tighter weapons control, and an end to recurring armed disputes.
