Residents of Quneitra reported that an Israeli force penetrated the town of Al-Rafid in the southern Quneitra countryside yesterday evening. They set up a military checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the town for several hours, then left without any searches or contact with civilians.

This is the second incursion yesterday. Israeli forces had previously withdrawn from the towns of Brega and Bir Ajam in the same countryside, about two hours after their incursion, amid a state of alert and limited military deployment.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, for its part, confirmed that the incursions did not result in any human or material losses, while a cautious calm has prevailed in the area since the forces withdrew towards their positions in the Golan Heights.
