The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli forces extended a new barbed wire network on the western side of the town of Al-Rafid in the southern Quneitra countryside, as part of fortification and engineering works they are carrying out along the border strip with the Syrian Golan.
The observatory mentioned that the works included installing iron supports and raising earthen barriers at points close to the ceasefire line, in a move that reflects the Israeli forces' efforts to tighten field control and expand the buffer zone between the Syrian villages and the Golan Heights.

He added that the towns in the countryside of Quneitra near the border are witnessing continuous Israeli military movements, including land leveling operations and the construction of new security roads, which raises concerns among the residents about the gradual encroachment on border areas and the imposition of a new ground reality that restricts the movement of farmers in the region.
