ISIS cell leader killed by Internal Security Forces

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces – North and East Syria issued a statement to the public today, revealing that their forces had carried out a security operation against an ISIS leader in Hasaka, Jazira Canton.

The statement read: "Based on precise intelligence gathered by the General Security Directorate, our forces, in coordination with the Operations Forces and the H.A.T. Special units carried out a special operation in the village of Dheeba near Hasaka, targeting Abdul Rahman Ali Khidr, also known as (Aboudi Asleh), one of the leaders of sleeper cells affiliated with the so-called 'Abu Dujana' cell of ISIS.

This terrorist, along with his cell, worked to terrorize civilians, target our checkpoints and security patrols, and conduct armed robberies against residents in Jazira Canton. During the raid, he resisted with armed force, which led to his neutralization. A Kalashnikov rifle with full magazines, a 9mm pistol, and a vest were found in his residence.

It should be noted that the leader of this cell, known as 'Abu Dujana,' was previously killed in a similar security operation after putting up fierce resistance against our forces.

We, the Internal Security Forces, affirm our commitment to continue pursuing the remnants of ISIS and its sleeper cells, to protect the safety and stability of our regions, and to cleanse our areas of terrorism."
