Iraqi political analyst: Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call carries  deep message

 The historic call made by leader Abdullah Ocalan has garnered significant attention in Arab and international media, as well as among political figures and the general public. In his historic appeal for peace, leader Ocalan stated:"The second century of the Republic cannot achieve unity and lasting continuity unless it is crowned with democracy. Without democracy, there is no way to seek or implement political systems—it is impossible. Democratic consensus is the fundamental method. In this process, I call for disarmament and assume historical responsibility for this appeal."

 Regarding leader's call and his leadership in the democratic transition process, Iraqi political analyst Asaad Al-Abadi spoke to ANHA agency.

 Asaad Al-Abadi began by saying:"We have always been concerned with the leader and the Kurdish liberation movement. We were eagerly anticipating the peace call made by leader Ocalan, and we expected such a message."

 He continued:"Ocalan’s message clarifies that over the past four decades, the region and the world have witnessed significant transformations, all marked by struggles for rights. In response to these changes, which were articulated by the great Kurdish leader and the leader of the Kurdish liberation movement, it was inevitable that these phases would shape our path forward."

 "The message we heard was brief, yet it encapsulated many of the concerns of the Kurdish people in their pursuit of rights and political engagement. I believe this is what we have all aspired to," he added.

 Political analyst Asaad Al-Abadi expressed his deep satisfaction with the call, stating:

"I expect the coming phase to be one of prosperity, peace, development, and the restoration of rights—rights for which the martyrs gave their lives so that we could witness a day when all peoples enjoy freedom, dignity, and equal citizenship, as championed by this great leader."

 Al-Abadi also anticipated that the next phase would bring major transformations, not only in Turkey but across the Middle East, particularly in Kurdistan as a whole—whether in Syria, Iraq, or Iran. He emphasized that these changes would influence the broader Kurdish liberation movement, extending to many parts of Kurdistan and beyond.

 He praised the struggle of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), saying:"I am deeply grateful and happy for this message, and I express my pride and congratulations to our dear Kurdish people. Thanks to the struggles led by  leader and the PKK, they have reached this moment."

 Al-Abadi also expressed his hope that Turkish authorities would respond to this message with great responsibility and fulfill their duties to achieve peace in Turkey and the region.
