The member of the Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, Allawi al-Bandawi spoke about repercussions of the continued Turhish attacks on Iraqi, calling for quick and urgent action to end the occupation.

Yesterday, al-Bandawi said in a statement to the media, “Turkish forces are inside Iraqi territory at a depth of 40 km, which is considered a serious and major violation of Iraq’s sovereignty. This unjustified incursion constitutes a threat to Iraqi national security. Therefore, we must urgently work to expel those forces.”

Al-Bandawi noted that Iraq is working on this through political and diplomatic means, and does not want any new escalation in the region that could result in serious repercussions, that is why Iraq does not want to use force with the Turkish army to expel it.

He pointed out the necessity of intensifying the diplomatic and political efforts to expel the Turkish occupation army due to its incursion into Iraqi territory was illegal and it violated all international laws.
