KNK congratulates Muslims on Eid al-Adha, calls for confrontation with Turkey
The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) congratulated the people of Kurdistan and the entire Islamic world on Eid Al-Adha, and stressed: “The Kurds and Kurdistanis must take a stand against Turkish attacks on the trenches of the Kurdistan Defense Forces.”
KNK issued a written statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, which read:
“Tomorrow is Eid, Eid al-Adha. Unfortunately, we are welcoming Eid again in harsh and difficult conditions, as genocidal attacks continue against our people throughout Kurdistan, our people are being killed, the nature of our country is being destroyed, and more than 10,000 political detainees are in the occupation prisons. The occupation threats are increasing in Southern Kurdistan and Rojava, while the people of Eastern Kurdistan are being killed daily. Furthermore, the economic and social problems are still continuing in Southern Kurdistan, whereas the problem of the disputed regions has not yet been resolved.
We demand all Kurds and Kurdistanis to take a stand against the attacks of the Turkish state on the trenches of the Kurdistan Defense Forces.
We at KNK congratulate Eid al-Adha to the detainees, the people of Kurdistan, and the entire Islamic world.”
