Iranian attacks target Gulf States and Jordan

The Gulf region and Jordan witnessed a new military escalation today after Bahrain announced that it had intercepted Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting its territory, while Kuwait and Jordan also reported intercepting hostile aerial targets and missiles within their airspace.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force stated that its air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several aerial attacks targeting civilian areas across the kingdom. It added that all military units had raised their level of readiness to protect the country and defend its territory.

Bahraini authorities urged citizens and residents to stay away from suspicious objects or missile debris and report them immediately. The Ministry of Interior also announced the reactivation of air raid sirens, calling on residents to move to safe locations and follow official instructions.

Kuwait Intercepts Hostile Aerial Targets

In Kuwait, the General Staff of the Armed Forces announced that air defence systems had engaged hostile aerial targets within Kuwaiti airspace, explaining that the explosions heard in some areas were the result of interception operations.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned attacks targeting border facilities and an offshore drilling platform belonging to Kuwait Oil Company, stating that the attacks caused casualties and material damage.

Kuwait stressed that the attacks constituted a violation of its sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, affirming its right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and citizens in accordance with international law.

Jordan Shoots Down Missiles Launched from Iran

In Jordan, the Armed Forces announced that they intercepted and shot down four missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory, confirming that the operation was carried out successfully without any casualties or material losses.

A military source, quoted by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), said the Jordanian Armed Forces are monitoring developments at the highest level of readiness, emphasizing that any attempt to violate the kingdom's sovereignty would be met with firm action.

IRGC Announces Attacks on US Bases in the Region

Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had targeted US military sites and bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman as part of the ongoing escalation with the United States.

According to statements carried by Iranian media, the attacks targeted Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, a US drone command center and military facilities in Bahrain, as well as radar systems in Oman.

The escalation comes amid the widening confrontation between Iran and the United States, raising growing concerns that the region could slide into a broader military conflict threatening Gulf security, maritime navigation, and global energy supplies.
