She issued a general invitation, saying, "We call on the people to participate in the celebrations, carrying their symbols, flags, and colors, so that we can send from the squares a unified message to the world, that we are a cohesive, united society with a firm stance."

With the approach of Newroz, which falls on March 21st each year, Sherin Dawood; the member of the preparatory committee for Newroz celebrations in the cities of Jazira region, spoke to ANHA agency about the participation in the 2026 Newroz celebrations and the importance of demonstrating solidarity and unity this year.

Sherin congratulated all people longed for peace in Kurdistan on the occasion of Newroz 2026, explaining that this year's celebrations will be held under the slogan, "Let's transform Newroz into the Newroz of Leader Apo's freedom and the democratic unity of the Kurds."

She continued, "This slogan, under which we will celebrate, represents our stance against the genocidal attacks targeting the Kurdish people. Thanks to Leader Apo's vision and his peace and democratic society project, which also called for Kurdish unity, we celebrate our Newroz."

Sherin Dawood appealed to the peoples to convey their powerful message to the public opinion, urging them to head en masse and enthusiastically to the designated Newroz squares on March 21st. She said, "Let us deliver our message that we are a banding society with a firm stance. We invite everyone to participate with their own symbols, flags, and colors, as Newroz is not just for the Kurds; it is a festival for all nations and peoples."

In conclusion, Sherin called upon the political parties and figures of diverse ideologies to join and participate, celebrating together in the spirit of unity on this day.
