Intense Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon

On Saturday, Israel launched airstrikes on several areas in southern Lebanon, particularly in the Nabatieh Governorate.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli aircraft targeted the areas of Mlikh, Basaliya, the heights of Jabal al-Rihan, and the outskirts of the town of Sajd in Jezzine.

It added that an Israeli drone dropped explosive devices in four separate attacks on an uninhabited house in the al-Kassair neighborhood, east of the town of Mays al-Jabal, in an attempt to destroy it.

The agency further reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on Saturday evening on the al-Hamila area, on the outskirts of the town of Houmin al-Fawqa in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region of the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon.

The airstrikes also targeted the Barghaz area, the heights of Iqlim al-Tuffah, the heights of Jabal al-Rihan, the al-Hamila area, and the Basaliya area, on the outskirts of the town of Jbaa.

For its part, the Israeli army stated that "in response to Hezbollah's repeated violations of the ceasefire understandings, the Israeli army is striking Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon."
