The mercenaries of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) are the primary agent for the Turkish occupation's actions and crimes in the occupied areas of Syria.

The commander of the Idlib Revolutionaries Brigade in the Kurdish Front forces, Iskandar Alaa, said: “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly the Al-Nusra Front) is the one that controls the city of Idlib, politicized by the Turkish state to advance its agendas in the region and during the past years, specifically between 2013 and 2014, with the support of the occupation.” The Turkish occupatıon eliminated all national revolutionary factions and tightened security and military control over the city of Idlib.”

Iskandar Alaa noted that: “Al-Nusra Front is putting pressure on the people and forcing them to follow its policy through terrorism, murder, royalties, kidnapping, and rape, and the people are far from its ideology, project, and policy.”

Alaa affirmed: "We are the people of Idlib and we have contact with our people there, who confirm that they are no longer able to tolerate this injustice, and the demonstrations in which the people took part in the city of Idlib confirm that they do not accept the presence of the occupation and the terrorist mercenary factions."

Alaa explained that the Idlib issue is not limited to the mercenaries of the Al-Nusra Front, but lies in the Turkish occupation, which supports it and uses it to implement its occupation plans and implement the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood. He said: “The people’s primary goal is to get rid of this ideology, the occupation, and its mercenaries.”

Iskandar Alaa explained: “The prisons in Idlib are like the prisons of the Baathist regime, and the number of those in the prisons of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham is equivalent to the number of detainees held by the regime.”

Iskandar Alaa noted: “The people of Idlib are paying a heavy price as a result of their resistance to the extremist ideology spread by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries with Qatari support and funding to complete the Muslim Brotherhood’s terrorist project and to compensate for the loss of the Brotherhood in Egypt. Therefore, they want Idlib to be a point of spread for their extremist ideology.”

Alaa pointed out: “We, the Idlib Revolutionaries Brigade, revealed early the goals of the Al-Nusra Front and the extremist factions, which made them attack us and try to eliminate us; So we left from Idlib to Afrin and then joined the forces of the Kurdish Front, which fell under the banner of the Syrian Democratic Forces, as a result of what we saw of the brotherhood of peoples and the thought of Democratic nation, justice and equality.

Iskandar Alaa noted: “When we communicated with our people in Idlib, we sought that they wanted the Autonomous Administration project, not just Idlib, but even Al-Suwayda and all the areas controlled by the Baathist regime.”
