HPG downs 2 drones, disables bulldozer of Turkish occupation army
The People's Defense Forces (HPG) downed two drones and disabled a bulldozer belonging to the Turkish occupation army in the Medya defense areas, S. Kurdistan during the last 72 hours of operations and resistance to ongoing attacks.
The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement detailing the operations carried out by the guerrillas and their resistance against the Turkish occupation army in the Medya defense areas, S. Kurdistan.
Here is the text of the statement:
“In Metina region:
On August 18, at 07:20, our forces targeted a Turkish bulldozer in the resistance area of Serê Metina with heavy weapons, resulting in the disabling of the bulldozer and halting the movement of occupation soldiers.
In the Martyr Delil area, west of Zab:
On August 17, at 06:15, our forces in the Free Women's Units - Star targeted and downed a Turkish drone in the resistance area of Judi Hill with small arms.
On August 18, at 09:20, our forces in the Free Women's Units - Star targeted occupation soldiers in the resistance area of Judi Hill with heavy weapons.
On August 17, at 12:10, our forces sniped at occupation soldiers in the resistance area of Bahar Hill, resulting in one Turkish soldier being injured.
On August 17, at 20:38, our forces intercepted Turkish helicopters in the resistance area of Bahar Hill, stopping their flights over the area.
On August 18, at 16:30, our forces downed a Turkish occupation drone in the resistance area of Bahar Hill with small arms.
On August 18, at 21:36, our forces intercepted Turkish helicopters flying in the resistance area of Bahar Hill.
Turkish occupation army's attacks with forbidden weapons:
On August 18 and 19, our tunnels in the resistance area of FM Hill were bombed 11 times with forbidden weapons.
On August 18, our tunnels in the resistance area of Amadiya Hill were bombed once with forbidden weapons.
Turkish occupation army's attacks:
On August 18 and 19, the areas of Kulit, Qalla, Lolan, Martyr Sharif, Sinin, and Barbezina in the Khakurk region were bombed 14 times, while the areas of Zivki, Kafya Plain, Kon Hill, Zenkal, Sisar Hill, Kani Sark, and Dola in the Metina region were bombed 18 times. Additionally, the resistance areas in Serê Metina, Beshili, Shilaz, and Darkoul in the Metina region were bombed 10 times, and the resistance area in Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area, west of Zab, was bombed 4 times, bringing the total number of airstrikes to 46 by warplanes.
On August 17, the resistance area in Serê Metina in the Metina region was bombed by attack helicopters.”
