The director of the “Kurds Without Borders” Center, Kader Piri, believes that the announcement by the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on August 25 about moving from a defensive posture to a phase of building the country represents an important shift for the Kurdish cause. He said it could open a political and constitutional path toward consolidating Kurdish rights and strengthening decentralization, which requires political struggle. (Photos attached.)

Residents of ÇelAxa praised the role played by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) during the years of the revolution, saying the force was not merely a military formation but a comprehensive national project that helped protect Syria’s social fabric from terrorism, sedition, and sectarian and ethnic divisions. They stressed that integrating the SDF into the Syrian army would mark a transition to a new phase focused on protecting gains and safeguarding the rights of Syria’s various components, foremost among them the rights of the Kurdish people.
