The transitional government in Syria is working to consolidate its power through a symbolic parliament, the "People's Assembly." One-third of the members are appointed by Ahmad Al-Shar’a, while the rest are elected through indirect electoral bodies formed by committees selected by those close to the authorities. This process is taking place in the absence of foundational laws, amid selective implementation and regions outside government control.

The Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) affirmed that the Syrian people do not deserve the tragedies and disasters they are enduring, and that they have come to realize that a democratic system is the only way to end their suffering. Don’t Be an Accomplice by Sharing It". The campaign will run for two months, targets both genders, and provides legal services while guaranteeing women’s rights under strict laws.
