The Secretary-General of the Arab-Armenian Legal Council proposed the implementation of a federal system of governance for Syria’s components as an alternative to the model imposed by the transitional government on the people. He stated: “This form of governance will preserve civil peace among the diverse components that make up the ancient Syrian society, ensure the unity of Syrian territory, and allow each region to complement the other fairly, including in economic terms.”

The suffering of the displaced residents of Sweida is worsening, especially those living in shelters amid shortages of food, medicine, and daily necessities. The situation has been further aggravated by the absence of any supporting body, while transitional government forces remain present in villages of the western countryside, even as residents hold onto hopes of returning home.

The sharp decline in the Euphrates River water level has caused heavy losses in the agricultural sector in Tabqa Canton. The crisis has not only reduced cultivated areas but has also forced farmers in some regions to abandon their crops altogether.

National figures from the city of Girke Lege stressed that the continued imposition of isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish occupation state constitutes a political and moral crime, affirming that ending this isolation is a humanitarian necessity and a prerequisite for achieving peace in the region.

The Sheikh of the Tayy tribe said that Turkey had attempted to sow discord between Kurds and Arabs, mislead public opinion, and derail the course of the revolution. He added: “ Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s message represents a call to strengthen coexistence, preserve civil peace, and consolidate Syrian unity.”
