Following the epic struggle waged by the Internal Security Forces in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, residents of al-Hasakah city renewed their support for the Syrian Democratic Forces, affirming their commitment to them and their readiness to defend their land and join the ranks of the resistance. A Druze political activist described the international silence as a suspicious turning of a blind eye to the systematic crimes committed by mercenaries of the so-called interim government in Syria across multiple regions of the country, noting that the continuation of attacks, kidnappings, and sieges in Aleppo, Suwayda, the coast, and other areas deepens the humanitarian crisis and increases civilian suffering amid the absence of an effective role for international law. Haphazard decisions taken within the institutions of the interim government in Syria, driven by extremist religious motives, are raising growing concerns in the Syrian banking sector, due to their violation of laws and their direct threat to the functioning of banks, amid warnings of serious repercussions that could lead to paralysis of the financial system and the closure of banks.

One of the defenders of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, Haroun Halab, who was among a group of self-sacrificing fighters in the besieged neighborhoods of Aleppo and was injured during the battles, spoke about the fighters, saying: “They were extremely enthusiastic, and with this enthusiasm they decided to reach the level of heroism and struggle based on sacrificing their lives for this people. They used to say: no matter what happens, we will not accept captivity; we will fight to the end, sacrifice our lives, and reject surrender.” (Attached with photos and video).

Protesters and hunger strikers in front of the International Coalition base in the countryside of al-Hasakah affirmed that they fought ISIS mercenaries on behalf of the world, yet today they are being subjected to massacres and violations while the world remains silent. The Council of Martyrs’ Families in the Euphrates Canton is organizing a central condolence ceremony for the martyrs of the Internal Security Forces—Deniz Jiya, Hawar Qandil, Rojbin Hasakah, Delbrin Qamishlo, and Frashin Afrin—who were martyred in the resistance of the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid neighborhoods in Aleppo.
