A Syrian activist affirmed that women’s rights are protected through a comprehensive military, cultural, social, political, and constitutional structure, stressing that rejecting these rights means rejecting democracy, freedom, and society as a whole.

Kurdish language teachers and students stressed that the Kurdish language must be officially recognized in Syria’s constitution, saying: “The Kurdish language is our identity.” (Photos and video attached.)

Farmers of medicinal and aromatic crops in Rojava, especially cumin growers, are optimistic this year due to rainfall that improved germination and raised production expectations. However, this optimism is accompanied by concerns over climate fluctuations. Between opportunities for good production and challenges such as diseases and rising costs, farmers are facing a sensitive season that requires close monitoring and effective prevention and agricultural management methods to ensure success. Agricultural crops in the town of Zirkan in the countryside of Hasakah have witnessed a decline due to the spread of agricultural diseases, most notably rust and fungal infections, in addition to difficulties farmers face in accessing their lands and carrying out their work amid the expansion of areas occupied by the Turkish occupation and the spread of landmines there. Syrian writer and political activist Ali Al-Amin Al-Suwaid stressed that it is necessary for the Damascus government to acknowledge that its role is transitional and temporary. He presented a set of required options to end the state of political deadlock, noting that the government has failed in various aspects of state administration, which requires a Syrian national will to save the Syrian people.

The theater sector in Rojava is witnessing growing activity aimed at preparing a new generation of actors, as around 200 children receive specialized training in theatrical arts within the “Children’s Hope Theater” project. Observers believe that Syria is going through a delicate phase in which it seeks to strengthen stability and rebuild state institutions amid ongoing internal challenges and external influences that make the recovery process dependent on internal cohesion. They also see that suspending the “Freedom Project” does not reflect a retreat so much as it represents a repositioning aimed at opening a new negotiating window with Iran.

As part of the activities organized by the Literature Council in Rojava–Qamishlo on the occasion of the approaching Kurdish Language Day, the film “REŞ TEXTÊ” will be screened at Shiler Library in Qamishlo at 19:00. The Lawyers’ Union in Jazira will organize two sit-ins in front of the courthouses in the cities of Qamishlo and Hasakah regarding lawyers’ and legal professionals’ stance on the removal of the Kurdish language from the facades of the courthouses in the province, at 12:00.
