Hasaka women demand ending isolation of leader Ocalan

On the sidelines of a women's march in the city of Hasaka in Jazira canton, women expressed their rejection of the continued isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, despite his call for peace and a democratic society issued on February 27th. They demanded guarantees for his physical freedom.

The citizen Shukriya Hussein emphasized that "what leader Abdullah Ocalan has offered to women is unforgettable," noting that his struggle has contributed to liberating women from the cycle of injustice and oppression, leading them to awareness and freedom.

She pointed out that his call for peace and the transition from a military to a political phase constituted an unprecedented historic step.

Shukriya Hussein explained that the demand for the leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom is not limited to Kurdish women, but includes women from all over the world, in appreciation of his role in defending women's rights.

For her part, Raja Mohamed from the town of Sikra said that women in various countries around the world continue to demand his physical freedom, and affirmed the continuation of the resistance with determination until his imprisonment ends.

Fatima Kalash from the city of Derbasiya explained that the leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom means the freedom of the entire society, and that the influence of his ideas remains present in the consciousness and struggle of women despite the years that have passed since his detention.
