Guerrilla Forces foil Turkish occupation attacks and destroy 5 suicide drones

The People's Defense Forces (HPG) Media Center issued a statement to the public, detailing the Guerrilla operations and the statistics of attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army on the Medya defense areas during this period. The statement reads:

“Martyr Akhin Mush Unit:

On January 10, our forces carried out three aerial strikes on occupation soldiers in the resistance area of Martyr Hemin Hill in Khakurk. These operations resulted in the destruction of a radar system and an occupation site.

On January 10 at 1:40 PM, our forces conducted an aerial strike on occupation soldiers in the resistance area of Amedya Hill in Martyr Delil's region, west of Zap, destroying a container.

On January 13, our forces targeted occupation soldiers with aerial weapons in the resistance area of Martyr Azad Hill in Khakurk, resulting in the damaging of a tank.

In Martyr Delil's Region West of Zap:

On January 10 at 11:30 AM, the Free Women’s Units-Star targeted occupation soldiers with heavy weapons in the resistance area of Bahar Hill.

In Metina Region:

On January 10 at 12:30 PM, our forces used semi-automatic weapons to target occupation soldiers in the Serê Metina area, halting their movements.

On January 10, between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM, our forces destroyed five suicide drones sent to attack our combat tunnels in the resistance area of Shilazah.

On January 13 at 10:00 AM, the Free Women’s Units-Star targeted occupation soldiers with heavy weapons in the resistance area of Serê Metina.

On January 13 at 3:45 PM, the Free Women’s Units-Star targeted an armored vehicle (BMB) equipped with a 37 mm cannon using semi-automatic weapons. During this operation carried out by the Free Women’s Units-Star, the BMB armored vehicle was hit.

Turkish occupation army’s use of prohibited weapons:

Our tunnels located in the resistance area of Shilazah in the Metina region were bombed three times with prohibited weapons.

Turkish occupation army’s attacks:

Between January 10–13, warplanes bombed the resistance areas of Koshin, Sinin, and Martyr Sharif in the Khakurk region seven times, the resistance area of Serê Metina in the Metina region five times, the resistance area of Bahar Hill in Martyr Delil’s region west of Zap once, and the areas of Garê, Bilindbaz, Garê Kon, Kanî Sark, Derash, Martyr Aslan, and Dashta Kafya in the Garê region eight times. This brings the total number of airstrikes to 21.

On January 10, the resistance area of Bahar Hill in Martyr Delîl’s region west of Zap was bombed 15 times by attack helicopters.”
