The Media Center of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Region published the work of the General Audit Body in the Autonomous Administration, through a statement made by the co-chair, Ahmed Sheikho.

Ahmed Sheikho revealed that during the first half of 2024, they solved 169 files, in addition to 32 files remaining under study.

Complaints of citizens

During his statement, Sheikho pointed out that they received 257 complaints from citizens, most of which were resolved while work continues in the rest.

The co-chair of the Body stated that they suffer from the difficulties of the lack of specialized staff in the field of oversight, and indicated that they are in the process of increasing the number.

Training Courses

In order to raise the level of staff, they opened 3 specialized training courses related to the work.

The co-chair of the Audit Audit Body stressed that their priorities are to complete training courses for the working staff and follow up on citizens' issues and complaints and files related to public money to eliminate corruption.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the NE Syria Region formed the General Audit Body in mid-2020, with the aim of improving the oversight work of the institutions affiliated with the Autonomous Administration in the region.
