FSP's youth affirm youth's role in leading national democratic project

The Youth Council of the Future Syria Party in Tabqa canton organized a dialogue seminar entitled "Youth and Manufacturing Tomorrow: From Marginalization to Political Participation and Building the Future Syria." The seminar was held in the party's hall in the city, with the participation of dozens of young men and women from institutions and councils of the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

During the seminar, Khadija Mohamed, the member of the Future Syria Party's Youth Council emphasized that for decades, young people in Syria have been the weakest link in political and social decision-making, despite representing the largest and most dynamic segment of society.

Khadija Mohamed clarified, "Young people have been marginalized and excluded from the arenas that shape the future of the homeland. They have been treated as an instrument of implementation, not as a force for decision-making. The time has come to end this era of marginalization and begin a new era that places young people in their rightful position as an active force capable of transforming pain into hope and despair into action."

She noted, "Nations that believed in the capabilities of their youth, such as India, South Korea, Germany, and Japan, managed to rise from the ashes of war and build prosperous countries. Syrian youth are capable of replicating these experiences if given a genuine opportunity."

Khadija Mohamed said, "We, the youth, do not want to be mere spectators to a nation changing without us. Political participation is not just a slogan; it is a responsibility and an active practice in shaping decisions, building institutions, and establishing the future of a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria."

Khadija Mohamed emphasized that the Future Syria Party believes that youth are the heart of the national democratic project and the fundamental force for building a new Syria based on freedom, citizenship, and social justice.

The seminar witnessed several interventions and discussions from the attendees, focusing on the most prominent obstacles facing youth in political life and their future role in building Syria.

The participants agreed that the greatest challenge lies in the persistence of the old mentality that marginalizes the role of youth, despite the transformations that followed the fall of the Ba'athist regime.

They emphasized that the experience of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria has proven that young people are capable of being present and influential whenever given the opportunity.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants stressed that the responsibility for the next phase rests with the young generation, who must transform the political participation from an exceptional experience into a permanent foundation for building the future Syria.
