Popular anger in occupied Tel Abyad

A local source from the Turkish-occupied city of Tel Abyad/Girê Spî reported that dozens of residents held protests demanding justice for the attack on the principal of Sabbagh School, Jumaa al-Hussein.

The source indicated that the protesters carried banners with, "We demand justice for teacher Jumaa al-Hussein – The prestige of education begins with respect for the teacher," "Crime is a product of ignorance and corruption," and "May the hand that strikes the teacher be cut off" written on.

According to the source, schools in the city and its countryside were completely closed on Sunday following the attack carried out on the principal.

ANHA agency obtained a video on Sunday showing a group of three armed men in a black car with no license plates intercepting Jumaa al-Hussein on his way to school. They kidnapped him and took him to an unknown location before he was later found unconscious. Furthermore, residents transported him to the hospital for receiving the medical treatment.

 In the same context, a local source in the occupied city of Tel Abyad/Girê Spî stated to ANHA agency that on Sunday, a group of Turkish-backed mercenaries assaulted Mustafa al-Ayyyaf, a 45-year-old member of al-Bu Assaf tribe from the village of al-Mankali, also in the occupied city.

The areas occupied by the Turkish state; Afrin, Tel Abyad/Girê Spî, and Ras al-Ayn/Serê Kaniyê are suffering from a state of security chaos.
