From Amed… 25 aid trucks sent to Kobane

The city of Kobane has been under a suffocating siege for 12 days by factions of the Syrian Interim Government, as the residents are suffering from a severe shortage of all basic necessities after water, electricity, and internet services were cut off, affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

To counter this siege, numerous aid campaigns have been launched across Kurdistan and abroad. As part of the "Aid Campaign for Kobane," launched by the Amed City Protection Support Platform in North Kurdistan, 25 truckloads of aid were collected. The trucks departed from Amed towards Kobane, carrying essential items such as water, milk, baby food, blankets, heaters, and other food supplies.

Before the trucks departure, a statement was issued at the Mesopotamia International Exhibition Center, as Masoum Çia Korkmaz; the spokesperson for the Amed City Protection Support Platform, highlighted the shortages of basic necessities for children, the elderly, and women in Rojava.

He added: "We prepared 25 trucks of aid in just two days. The trucks contain water, baby food, heaters, and basic necessities. This aid has set off to reach the people struggling to stay in Kobane."

After the statement delivered, the trucks departed from Amed towards the Suruç region, en route to Kobane.
