For second day, firefighters still wait for official response

Firefighting teams, equipped by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, continue to wait for the second day after being prepared to head to the coastal areas affected by the fires.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has prepared a support convoy of fully equipped firefighting teams, ready to head to areas affected by fires on the Syrian coast, as part of its humanitarian duty and a spirit of community solidarity.

Despite the announcement of full readiness and confirmation of its willingness to provide support, the teams are still awaiting an official response from the transitional government in Syria, which is hindering their deployment to the fires raging in the region.

On July 7, the Autonomous Administration dispatched a convoy of 150 trained personnel and 18 fire engines, in addition to engineering equipment and machinery, to help extinguish the fires, emphasizing that the priority remains the safety of citizens and the preservation of the environment and forest resources.
