The Israeli military reported that five soldiers, including an officer, were killed and 13 others wounded in two separate incidents in southern Lebanon within two days of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah.

According to the Jerusalem Post, four soldiers were killed on Friday when they were hit by Israeli tank fire during military operations near the village of Tibnit. A fifth soldier was killed in a Hezbollah attack on Israeli army positions.

The Israeli military said that Hezbollah fired more than 50 projectiles at its forces, calling it a "flagrant violation" of the ceasefire.

Israeli forces responded by launching airstrikes targeting Hezbollah rocket launch sites, weapons depots, and command centers in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli attacks on Friday killed 83 people and wounded 141 others, mostly in southern Lebanon.

Later on Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israeli military to cease fire until further notice.
