First request to meet with Leader Ocalan during 2024

Leader Abdullah Ocalan's lawyers submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with their client in Imrali prison, where no information has been received about him since March 2021.

The lawyers, Rada Ozturk, Rezan Sarij, Faiq Ozkur Arul and Mazloum Deng, once again submitted a request to the Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their client, leader Ocalan.

The lawyers also submitted a request to meet with their clients, Omar Hayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim and Wsi Aktaş, in the same prison.

Lawyers and detainees' families submit 4 requests to meet with them every week, but all requests are rejected.

Leader Ocalan's last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which lasted less than 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested following an international conspiracy, the first threads of which began on October 9, 1998, when he left Syria heading to Moscow, and was carried out on February 15, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and he was handed over to the Turkish authorities.
