Finnish delegation visits universities in NE,Syria to enhance academic cooperation

As part of efforts to develop academic cooperation between local universities and international educational institutions, a Finnish delegation consisting of project coordinator Inga Angerfor and Emmaus member Beata Maria visited colleges in North and East Syria. The delegation met with university professors and presented a series of educational seminars.

The delegation had previously visited Rojava University and today completed its tour schedule with a visit to Kobani University. This visit comes within the framework of an educational partnership between local universities and the Finnish organization, which is concerned with developing higher education and strengthening the academic infrastructure in conflict and post-conflict areas.

During the delegation's meetings with Kobani University staff, an extensive discussion took place regarding the university's structure and educational system. The delegation expressed interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the region's university education system and emphasized the need to continue the dialogue and expand cooperation in the coming period.

Following the discussions, the delegation toured the university's departments to gain a closer look at the academic capabilities and teaching staff, reflecting a serious intention to advance the joint project between the two sides.
