Dirty scheme by Barzani Organization and MIT in Shahba

On November 27, 2024, groups affiliated with HTS and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army attacked the city of Aleppo. On November 29, Turkish-backed mercenaries launched attacks on the regions of Tal Rifaat and Shahba.

The Afrin Liberation Forces displayed strong resistance against the Turkish occupation's attacks, protecting civilians from massacres. After Aleppo and its suburbs fell to the mercenaries, Tal Rifaat and Shahba were completely besieged. To prevent massacres, the Afrin and Shahba People's Council decided to relocate civilians to safe areas under the administration of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

Based on the decision issued by the Afrin and Shahba People's Council on December 2, 2024, the process of relocating civilians to AANES regions began. So far, over 100,000 people have reached Tabqa and Raqqa, while others have been transferred to other cities in the region. Support campaigns and aid for forcibly displaced persons continue uninterrupted.

The Deception of the Turkish Occupation State, its Collaborators and the Traitors

Meanwhile, many families remain trapped under siege in Shahba, and efforts are ongoing to evacuate them. On December 3, 50 buses were sent to Shahba, but they were blocked by mercenaries at the area's borders.

After considerable effort, it was reported that 50 buses entered the region on the afternoon of December 4 to evacuate the trapped civilians. However, by evening, it was announced that the buses were once again prevented from entering the area.

After investigations, it was revealed that the Barzani Organization, known as the “Barzani Charity Organization,” along with Turkish intelligence (MIT), is behind this game. According to eyewitnesses, civilians were assaulted and tortured. Members of the Barzani Organization and Turkish intelligence boarded some buses, claiming to be from AANES regions. They misled civilians, saying, “We will take you to safe areas,” but instead attempted to forcibly relocate them to occupied Afrin.

How the Scheme Was Exposed

Committees were formed to evacuate civilians, and contact numbers were provided for all citizens. Despite this, the transport buses failed to reach these areas, even as civilians reached out to the committees for help.

Anonymous citizens, speaking for security reasons, stated that they contacted evacuation committees through their relatives and friends. They confirmed that mercenaries had besieged them, threatened them, and kidnapped, tortured, or even killed some individuals. They added that some individuals arrived in vehicles, claiming to assist them and relocate them to safe areas. However, they later discovered that they were being taken to Afrin.

According to sources, buses arriving from Raqqa and Tabqa and heading toward Tal Rifaat and Shahba faced obstruction. The mercenaries used deceptive tactics to make the buses appear as though they were heading to the region.

Efforts to bring 50 buses into Tal Rifaat and Shahba to evacuate civilians are ongoing.
