Democratic Islam Conference announces opening doors of worship places to shelter for forcibly displaced people

The Democratic Islam Conference of North and East Syria made a statement to the public regarding the recent attacks on the NE region of Syria and Aleppo, read by a member of mosque affairs, Sheikh Jasser Saleh, that reads: "We, at the Democratic Islam Conference, follow with great concern the recent events taking place in Syria as a result of military interventions and ongoing conflicts.

The displacement of people from their areas and the displacement and insecurity they suffer is a deep wound in the conscience of humanity and is a collective responsibility at all levels."

In this great ordeal, the importance of social cohesion and solidarity among the people of the same country is highlighted."

The statement stressed the importance of solidarity with the displaced and the commitment of the Conference to help those affected by the conflict, stressing the need for collective action to restore stability to the affected areas.
