Destroy hospital that provide free services in Kobani as result of Turkish attacks

The Miştenur Hospital building in the center of Kobani, which was previously used as a school, was bombed in 2014 by ISIS mercenaries.

After the city was liberated by fighters from the People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) in 2015, the city's reconstruction process began.

One of the important works; Building health centers, under the supervision of the Autonomous Administration and with the support of international health organizations.

The Hospital was rebuilt with support from Doctors Without Borders in 2015, and began providing health services to the people.

The hospital includes departments: Children, women, diabetes, and neurology, in addition to a pharmacy, a medical analysis department, and 3 ambulances.

The hospital is one of the important health centers that provides medical services to the people, as it received between 300 and 400 people daily, and provided them with examination and treatment services and free medicines.

It was attacked 6 times, during the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on service centers since December 23 (2023), Miştenur Hospital was also targeted, and was subjected to 6 successive attacks, which led to its destruction, and it became completely out of service as a result of the Turkish occupation attacks.

The doctor working at Miştenur Hospital, Nour Muhammad Muslim, stated that the Turkish occupation targeted the hospital several times on December 25, 2023 between 16:00 and 17:00, which led to it being completely out of service.

Dr. Muhammad Muslim asked: “Under what law do they have the right to target hospitals?” He called on public opinion and human rights organizations to stand up to the brutality of the Turkish state.

After the attack, Doctors Without Borders published a message on its account on virtual networking sites (X) in which it stated that they contributed to building the hospital and worked in it, and in 2019 they referred it to the Health Body affiliated with the administration.
