Deir-ez-Zor residents: Attacks on Tishreen Dam are an assault on rights of the Syrian people

The residents of the North and East Syria region, who are protesting against Tishreen Dam to protect it, are being attacked by the Turkish occupation state. As a result of these attacks, dozens of people from different parts of the region have been killed and wounded, in addition to the damage to the dam, which has become a threat to the cities near the Euphrates River.

The residents of Deir-ez-Zor canton confirmed that these attacks are an inhumane act and a war crime committed by the Turkish occupation state, and called on international forces to stop these attacks.

Tishreen Dam is the lifeline of the region

Yahya Al-Ali, a resident of the city of Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir-ez_Zor canton, condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, and touched on the importance of the dam for the people of Syria in general, saying: "It is the lifeline of the region."

Al-Ali stressed that: "Targeting defenseless civilians and vital infrastructure is an inhumane act that contradicts all human values and principles, and confirms the occupation's intentions to weaken the foundations of life in our region."

Al-Ali pointed out that history is a witness that the Turkish occupation state is an occupying state, and it sheds the blood of the Syrian people to achieve its own interests at the expense of the suffering of the Syrian people.

Al-Ali stressed that the resistance of the people in Tishreen Dam is a historical resistance that reflects the strength of will and the steadfastness of the people in the face of injustice, "and that we will stand as one with the resistance and support them with all we can, and we will not hesitate to defend our country, and we will stand against anyone who tries to steal it or attack it."

For his part, citizen Jaber Al-Rawam warned of the dangers of targeting Tishreen Dam, and said: "These attacks threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents," and stressed that: "Any attack on the dam is not only an attack on a vital facility, but an attack on the right of the Syrian people and deprives them of living in peace."

Al-Rawam explained that: "The attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the residents on duty at Tishreen Dam demonstrate the intentions of the Turkish occupation state to destroy the basic components of life in our areas, and this is a continuation of the war crimes committed by Turkey."

Al-Rawam said: "We believe that our people have the right to defend their land and vital and service facilities, and can protect their property without any external interference."

Al-Rawam stressed that: "Targeting Tishreen Dam will not deter our resolve, but will increase our insistence on defending our rights and capabilities, and we will not allow anyone to destroy our future or seize our right to life."
