Kobani, complex of the Turkish occupation state

Kobani did not fall into the hands of ISIS, which the Turkish occupation state relied on and supported for years, and the Turkish state's bet on the city's walls falls, and its name has turned into a complex and nightmare for the Ottoman plan that Turkey has been trying to achieve by occupying the city for 13 years.

KOBANI

The battles stopped throughout the Syrian geography with the announcement of the fall of the former Syrian regime on December 8 of last year, while the Autonomous Administration announced a few days before that "general mobilization" in the face of existential threats to the Autonomous Administration project in northern and eastern Syria.

The occupation of the city of Manbij by mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation on December 7 led to the mercenaries reaching 30 km south of the city of Kobani, near the Qarqozak Bridge separating the east and west of the Euphrates, in addition to reaching the vicinity of the Tishrin Dam south of Kobani by 70 km, with the Syrian Democratic Forces fighting resistance against the mercenaries' advance in both locations.

As soon as the Turkish occupation state began to mobilize its forces near the city of Kobani a few weeks ago, the Kurds, Syrians, European countries, and Western officials sensed the danger of Turkish efforts against the city, which is a symbol for the Kurdish people and the people of North and East Syria, and they expressed their support for Kobani.

The current attacks launched by the mercenaries of the occupying Turkish state against the countryside of Kobani, with air support from warplanes, bring to mind Turkey's basic plan for the region of North and East Syria and the autonomous administration project, in which the city of Kobani is the node of this plan.

The occupying Turkish state does not hide its intentions in its quest to occupy all of northern Syria and Iraq and annex them to Turkish territory, according to what is known as the "Misak-ı Millî", which is the constitution in which the Turkish map was drawn in 1920 under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

ISIS.. Turkey's failed bet in Kobani

At the beginning of 2014, with ISIS quickly taking control of large areas of Syria and Iraq, including the cities of Mosul and Raqqa, the occupying Turkish state directed ISIS to the city of Kobani to eliminate one of the three autonomous cantons in northern Syria at the time.

Turkey provided weapons and logistical support and opened its borders to allow nearly 40,000 ISIS members from all over the world to cross into Syria and Iraq, turning cities in the south on the border with Syria into centers of activity for ISIS and its families over the years.

The battles continued for weeks and ISIS, with Turkish support, did not succeed in occupying Kobani, at a time when the Global Coalition led by the United States of America announced the start of its air strikes against ISIS and the entry of a group of Peshmerga fighters and fighters from different regions of Kurdistan into Kobani.

Declaration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Kobani Resistance

The peoples of the world realized the seriousness of ISIS's control over the city, as millions of demonstrators around the world in 93 countries, such as Argentina, Japan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey, along with most European countries, took to the streets in massive protests; calling on governments to take action while dozens of fighters defended the last neighborhoods of the city that were on the verge of falling completely into the hands of ISIS.

The International Day of Solidarity with Kobani was declared on November 1; as demonstrations swept the main roads in major cities around the world and airports, and in front of Turkish embassies, denouncing Turkey's direct support for ISIS.

While the general mobilization announced by Leader Abdullah Ocalan on Imrali Island, which called on the Kurdish community to defend Kobani, constituted a decisive turning point in the battle that the Kurds considered "fateful".

Dozens of young men and women entered the city to defend Kobani; Coming from different regions of Northern, Southern and Eastern Kurdistan, along with international fighters from different countries around the world.

While the activities of the people in northern Kurdistan, through the human wall they formed on the borders with the city, played an important role in breaking the siege on the fighters from the northern side.

On January 26, 2015, the People's and Women's Protection Units and fighters from the Free Syrian Army, with the support of the Global Coalition, liberated the city of Kobani from ISIS and declared victory after 134 days of battles.

The Turkish occupation army enters Syria after the failure of ISIS

The ISIS plan failed, which led to the Turkish state entering directly into the Syrian war and occupying vast areas under the pretext of protecting its "national security".

The Turkish occupation state could not accept the collapse of its ally ISIS before its eyes at the hands of the people of the region, as it launched attacks on the Afrin canton in January 2018, months after the Syrian Democratic Forces liberated the city of Raqqa, the alleged capital of ISIS. On October 9, the Turkish occupation attacked and occupied the areas of Serekaniye/Ras al-Ain and Gire Spi/Tal Abyad, and displaced, along with its mercenary groups, hundreds of thousands of Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs from their homes in revenge for ISIS.

The level of global solidarity with the Syrians facing the brutality of the Turkish occupation state, the main supporter of ISIS, has declined. Although the Turkish aggression against the Afrin canton and the regions of Serekaniye and Gire Spi was more brutal and bloody, and ISIS participated alongside Turkish soldiers in attacking these Syrian regions, international powers did not move towards the largest displacement and demographic change witnessed by the Middle East in the twenty-first century.

At a time when the Turkish state is a starting point for thousands of mercenaries towards Syria, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and North Africa, the circle of danger is expanding against all countries of the world. The attacks that targeted northern and eastern Syria enabled Turkey to smuggle dozens of the most dangerous mercenaries in the world from the Ain Issa camp in North and East Syria during its attacks against Gire Spi/Tal Abyad.

An attack in the vicinity of Kobani and a Syrian resistance against the ambitions of the occupying Turkish state

Turkey occupies large parts of northern Syria, and under the pretext of protecting its national security, it seeks to occupy the entire north of the country, and link the area of Gire Spi/Tal Abyad in the east with the area of Jarabulus in the west, which Kobani city is complicated issue, as it besieges Kobani today from 3 sides; the east, the west and the north.

The war against Kobani has not stopped for 13 years, with its levels fluctuating. Since December 7, 2014, mercenary groups affiliated with Turkey, including remnants of ISIS; with unprecedented air support from warplanes and drones, launched a violent attack targeting the Qarqozak Bridge and the vicinity of Tishrin Dam to control them and cross to the east of the Euphrates.

The Syrian Democratic Forces have been waging a historic resistance for more than a month and a half in the vicinity of Tishrin Dam, preventing the mercenaries from advancing and besieging Kobani from the south.

While the people of North and East Syria are heading, via civilian convoys, to Tishreen Dam to protect the dam from collapsing and to stop the attacks launched by the occupying state, despite the fact that the occupation has committed massacres against civilians and 21 civilians have been martyred so far, the people are determined to stay and protect the dam.

Kobani, from which the spark of the July 19 Revolution was launched, still constitutes a moral source for the democratic project that has begun to shine its light throughout the world, and the International Day of Solidarity with Kobani was the spark of the unity of nations to protect the democratic revolution that Rojava is witnessing in light of the chaos that is sweeping the Middle East.

The Turkish occupation state will open the gates of hell on the entire region through any attack against Kobani and will return Syria and the region to square one, especially since the Kurds consider Kobani the front line for defending the Kurdish presence and will not give it up.
