Decline in diesel allocations threatens continued operation of generators in Hasakah

The co-chair of the Generators Committee, Abdel Karim Oso, said that electricity from private generators did not reach any neighborhoods across the city of Hasakah today due to the failure to deliver diesel fuel to generator operators.

Abdel Karim Oso explained that Hasakah had previously received the full quantities of diesel allocated to it. However, generators have recently been receiving only around 60 percent of their designated allocations. He added that approximately 10 fuel tankers carrying diesel now reach the Jazira region and are distributed among the cities.

Oso noted that the diesel distribution mechanism has changed. Previously, allocated quantities were distributed every six days, while they are now being delivered on a daily basis but in irregular amounts.

The co-chair of the Generators Committee in Hasakah, Abdel Karim Oso, confirmed that the quantity allocated to the city ranges between 160,000 and 170,000 liters of diesel.

He pointed out that the irregular supply of diesel by Sadkop Company has created significant difficulties for generator operators and hindered their ability to adhere to the scheduled operating hours, leading to power outages in several neighborhoods.
