Damascus forces’ officer killed, others injured by Turkish shelling in Manbij

The artillery shelling by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the countryside of Manbij, NE Syria has intensified, with continued bombardment in the countryside of Afrin and Shahba Canton.

The Turkish occupation army's shelling has focused on the village of Arab Hassan in the northwestern countryside of Manbij.

According to the Media Center of the Manbij Military Council, "the number of shells that have fallen on the village so far has reached 17 mortar and artillery shells, and 10 Grad rockets, resulting in the death of a lieutenant and injuries to others from the Damascus government forces."

Yesterday, until late at night, the villages of Arbaa Kilo, al-Sayyada, Aoun al-Dadat, Al-Hoshariyah, and Al-Tokhar in the northern countryside were shelled by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

The countryside of Manbij has been subjected to continuous shelling by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries since the occupation of the city of Jarabulus and its surroundings in 2016.

The renewed shelling coincided with renewed bombardment on the countryside of Afrin and Shahba Canton, particularly targeting the village of Deir Jamal.

Yesterday, the villages of Hasajik, Wardiya, Hassin, Ali Qari, and Granada in Afrin and Shahba were shelled by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.
