DAANES affirms that Leader Ocalan's vision reflects aspirations of people

Today, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement regarding the results of the 12th PKK Congress. At the beginning, it welcomed the congress' decisions, stating:

"At this fateful stage for the peoples of the Middle East, and amidst the complexities of the accumulated crises resulting from policies of denial, rejection, and national and religious fanaticism, we, in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, affirm that Leader Abdullah Ocalan's project is a historic one and a solution to the Middle East's dilemma, based on the foundations of peace, democracy, and social justice.

Leader Ocalan presented a comprehensive vision for ending the conflicts that have plagued the Middle East for decades, through a model of democratic nation, brotherhood among peoples, women's freedom, and environmental protection. This project is not limited to resolving the Kurdish issue alone; it constitutes a roadmap for liberating the peoples of the region from the legacy of tyranny and national and religious violence.

This project is the cornerstone for achieving a significant and tangible impact on the Syrian situation in general, and in NE Syria in particular. It represents a true step toward strengthening internal peace and consolidating the concept of coexistence among the various components. Experience in our regions has also proven that this project contributes to build a democratic model that reflects the aspirations of the people and grants them an effective role in managing their affairs with their own free will.

In this context, we emphasize the importance of peoples' solidarity and support for this historic step, and strengthening their ties on the basis of shared democratic values. This is the fundamental guarantee for building a pluralistic society that rejects tyranny in all its forms. Developing the common democratic struggle among the peoples is the cornerstone for achieving a real transformation in the future of the region and building a new system based on freedom and human dignity."
