DAA supplies Deir ez-Zor health with medicines, medical equipment

The Health Body in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Deir ez-Zor is working to strengthen health care services for the people in implementation of the outcomes of the conference on enhancing security and stability towards developing and consolidating participatory action in Deir ez-Zor, which was held on October 22 last year.

The conference resulted in a number of decisions, most notably the restructuring of the local, legislative, executive and municipal councils and the reorganization of the Internal Security Forces and the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, within a maximum period of 6 months, in addition to increasing the efforts made in all sectors, including Municipalities, education and health.

In this context, Deir ez-Zor  Health distributed quantities of medicines to public hospitals and health facilities in the district, along with medical equipment.

The Co-chair of the Health Body in Deir ez-Zor, Thaer al-Krayed, said, “The medicines are anti-inflammatory medicines in general, analgesics, care medicines, anesthesia medicines for operations, and laboratory supplies, with the aim of securing medicines for the people to enhance health care in the region.”

The director of the medicine warehouse in the Deir ez-Zor,  Ahmed Khairy revealed the beneficiary hospitals and health centers, which are “Al-Sour Hospital in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, Al-Basira Hospital in the central Deir ez-Zor countryside, and Abu Hamam Hospital in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”

The Health Body confirmed the continuation of the process of distributing medicines to all hospitals and health centers in Deir ez-Zor.
