DAA rejects new govt. in Damascus; must represent Syrian diversity
The Autonomous Administration likened the new Damascus authority government to the previous regime, affirming that any decision made without its participation does not concern it. It called for an end to exclusionary and marginalization policies and for embracing all segments of the Syrian people, regardless of their components, religions, and sects.

The Damascus authorities announced the formation of a new government in an official ceremony, sparking mixed reactions in the Syrian arena. In an official statement issued by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the administration expressed its disappointment with the new government, indicating that it does not reflect the diversity and plurality present in Syrian society. The statement read:
Over the past weeks and months, Syrians have been eagerly anticipating the formation of an inclusive national government. However, the announced government closely resembled its predecessor, as it did not take into account the Syrian diversity and continued to be tightly controlled by a single party.
The statement added that the policies pursued by the Damascus authority continue to bring the country back to square one, where governance remains centralized and the political process lacks genuine representation for all components of the Syrian people.
The Autonomous Administration also confirmed that any government that does not reflect this diversity will not be able to manage the country properly, but will instead deepen the existing crises. It called for an end to exclusionary and marginalization policies, and for embracing all the Syrian people with their various components, religions, and sects.
At the conclusion of the statement, the Autonomous Administration reiterated its commitment to the fundamental demands of the Syrians, which include building a decentralized participatory democratic Syria that guarantees citizens' rights and their fair participation in political life.
