Today, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Jazera Canton held a press conference about the Turkish attacks against NE Syria, in front of the Muhammad Sheikho Center in the city of Qamishlo, in the presence of the joint presidencies of the bodies and offices of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, during which a statement was read by the co-presidency of the Executive Council, Talaat Yunus and Vivian Baho.

The statement read:

"The Turkish occupation state's terrorist attacks have continued since the twelfth of January through its warplanes and drones against our regions in NE Syria, targeting infrastructure and vital and service facilities.

"These crimes and violations were nothing but a continuation of the hostile policies pursued by the Turkish fascist state against the people of the region through its occupation of our regions, in Afrin, which is entering its seventh year and the displacement of its indigenous population, and in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi, in addition to the demographic change policies in occupied regions."

"These attacks and crimes that targeted the energy, oil, gas, water, health, agriculture, mills, internal security checkpoints, and civilian homes and facilities are a continuation of the approach of genocide and destruction to strike the security and stability of the region and a continuation of the policy of siege, cutting off water to destroy the means of life."

"The recent Turkish attacks resulted in the complete destruction of the Suwaydiya power generation station, as well as the electricity distribution stations, which led to the complete outage of electricity in the cities and villages of Jazera Canton. In addition to all water stations, hospitals, medical centres, ovens, mills and other service facilities,

The attacks also led to the loss of domestic gas, and a shortage of fuel as a result of the gas plant being out of service and the targeting of refineries and oil wells that supply gas and fuel to more than five million citizens."

Targeting the checkpoints of the Internal Security Forces increased the activity of ISIS terrorist cells, which increases their danger in the camps, Al-Hol and Roj, which contain ISIS families, as well as the prisons that contain thousands of ISIS members and leaders, especially after the targeting of Al-Sina’a Prison in Hasaka with missiles amidst of the escape attempts that controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security, these crimes and targets represent war crimes against humanity."

"We affirm once again that no matter how great the terrorism of the Turkish occupation state becomes, it will not discourage us and our strength, which we derive from the will and resistance of our revolutionary people with all its components, which has proven once again through its continuous struggle, solidarity, and steadfastness in the face of all forms of terrorism, special war policies.

At the same time, we condemn the international silence and the failure of international powers and active states in the region to assume their responsibilities in the face of the destruction of the foundations of life and stability and the massacres against the people of the region."

" We call on them to put pressure on the Turkish occupation state to stop its aggression and hold it accountable for its crimes and attempts to revive ISIS. We also call on international and humanitarian organizations to support Autonomous Administration in restoring the destroyed institutions and support stability in the region."

We call on our people in the diaspora and all free people in the world to support the resistance and steadfastness of our people in the face of occupation and terrorism, and we call on our people, with all its components to escalate the struggle, rally around its Administration, and work together in the spirit and values of our revolution, through which we were able to overcome many challenges and eliminate terrorism.

"With our free will and unity, we will end the occupation and terrorism, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and build a free and dignified life, and a democratic Syria.”
