DAA initiative represents best solution to Syrian crisis
Intellectuals and media professionals in NE Syria confirmed that the solution to the Syrian crisis is accepting the Autonomous Administration (DAA) initiative by Damascus government.
Ismail Al-Khaled, the writer in the Democratic Middle East newspaper and the member of the Union of Intellectuals in the Raqqa Canton, addressed the mentality of the Damascus government, saying: "The Damascus government's continuation of the same approach and mentality since the start of the Syrian revolution until this moment is not in line with the requirements of the people who came out to demand freedom and dignity."
Al-Khaled explained that: "The (Damascus government's) reliance on the unilateral theory and operations of treason and collaboration has no connection to reality, and the lack of awareness of the occupations of Syrian lands leads Syria to undesirable consequences and makes the future of Syria unclear."
On April 18, 2023, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria launched an initiative to resolve the Syrian crisis, in order to reach a peaceful and democratic solution that would end the suffering of millions of Syrian people.
It called on the Damascus government to show a responsible position, and stressed the unity of Syrian territory,in addition to its readiness to meet with the Damascus government and with all Syrian parties.
Al-Khaled stressed that the solution to the Syrian crisis is in accepting the initiative of the Autonomous Administration, sitting at the dialogue table, and implementing Resolution 2254 to start a new policy for Syria.
While, the representative of the Free Media Union in Raqqa Canton, Hussein Al-Othman, said: "The Damascus government is still adopting military lines and evading the Syrian dialogue, which is the only way to end the crisis in Syria."
Al-Othman pointed out that there is a democratic project in the region of North and East Syria, and this project has proven its success in defeating ISIS.
Al-Othman stated that: "The policy of treason cannot contribute to resolving the Syrian crisis, so we as Syrians must sit at the Syrian-Syrian dialogue table."
Al-Othman called on the Syrians and the Damascus government to sit at the dialogue table and block the way to international ambitions sought by international parties, including the Turkish occupation, and stressed that dialogue will transfer the Syrian crisis from the international framework to the Syrian-Syrian framework that will contribute to ending this crisis.
The Co-Chair of the Union of Intellectuals in Raqqa, Raad Al-Fadel, said: "The Autonomous Administration as a political and moral thought is completely different from any global system; because it seeks primarily to preserve society."
Al-Fadel explained: "The Autonomous Administration seeks to resolve the Syrian crisis; because it is trying to preserve the identity of the peoples of the region and their gains, so we as intellectuals call on the Damascus government to dialogue with the Autonomous Administration for the sake of the unity of the Syrians, preserving Syrian lands and expelling the occupier."
